Feb 2-Monday Finish 6-1 Practice sheet on finding slopes. Finish "Duck" Slope practice problem sheet. Take notes on 6-4 and learn how to put equations in slope-y intercept form. Do problems 1-10 in 6-4. Finish the practice sheet on solving equations that was handed out on Friday Jan 30. Take a quiz by the end of the hour. Notebooks with 5 pencils, a pouch, an eraser, and 50 sheets of lined college paper was due on Friday for 50 points. Today it is worth 40 and will go down 10 points each day. Assign problems 11-30 from Chapter 6 section 4.
Feb 3- Tuesday- Begin with a quesion answer time followed by a 6-4 and solving equation Quiz. Go over homework. Check notebooks for 30 points. Do two handouts together in class that help students learn to put linear equations into the form Y= MX +b (slope-intercept form). Collect one of the several homework assignments that have been given Monday and last Friday, for a grade. Do two practice handouts in class. Homework- Do practice sheet 6-4. Quiz on Wednesday
Feb 4- Wednesday- Quiz on Slope-intercept problems. Graphing lines included. Be able to find slope from lines. Be able to draw lines from equations and be able to put lines into equation form.
Review chapter 5 on the formula for linear equations AX+BY=C. Two more handouts in class and then for homework study for a test on Chapter 6 (FRIDAY). Notebooks-20 points
Feb 5-Thursday- Question answer time for Test on Chapter 6. Put problems on board for students to solve. Go over problems from 6-6 and do 1-30 (random samples together as a class) Take a practice chapter 6 Test. Notebooks- last day 10 points.
Feb 6- Friday- Take Chapter 6 test. Introduce Chapter 8-Solving Systems of equations. Read 8-1 together in class. Then have students take notes. Define Vocabulary. Copy for understanding the examples and do problems 1-0. Take 8-1 Chapter Study Guide home for homework. Quiz on Monday
